1. What is affordable housing?
Senior affordable housing communities offer private apartments for independent seniors with low or moderate incomes who meet federal income limits. These buildings typically offer easy access to transportation, shopping, medical facilities and other amenities. Card access-secured entryways provide peace of mind. Buildings are well-maintained and attractively landscaped.

2. Who is eligible for residency?
Affordable housing communities are designed for adults 62 and older whose income and assets meet state- or federally-established guidelines. Residents pay rent based on 30% of their adjusted gross annual income. Income guidelines are established by the Department of Housing & Urban Development and vary by county.
