In honor of over 90 years of providing quality and innovative programming, the Springpoint Foundation marked this milestone by introducing new initiatives that not only serve the needs of Springpoint Senior Living residents but that also serve the needs of all older adults and their families. These initiatives include:
- ENCORE! – a program making a variety of arts and cultural programs more accessible to everyone, including art, dance, literature, music, opera and theater.
- ENCORE Opera! – is a partnership between the Springpoint Foundation and Opera New Jersey (www.njot.org) that brings one hour world-class lively opera performances to senior communities.
- Senior Living Institute (SLI) – an educational resource for older adults and their families providing education and information related to their health, housing and finances.

Mercer County Senior Art Show
Mercer County Office on Aging is partnering with the Division of Culture and Heritage to present the Mercer County Senior Art Show from August 2 through August 13 in Meadow Lakes at 300 Meadow Lakes in East Windsor. Groups of 6 or more visitors are requested to call 1-800-564-5705 at least 24 hours prior to arrival to arrange for a tour guide. Closing reception will be on August 13 from 1:30PM to 3:30PM. Artwork not chosen to move on to the New Jersey Senior Art Show will be released to the artist immediately after the reception.
Any Mercer County resident age 60 or older may submit artwork to the Mercer County Senior Art Show for possible inclusion in the New Jersey Senior Citizen Art Show. All submissions must be the original work of the applicant, created within the last three years, and not previously entered in the Mercer County Senior Art Show. Applicants may submit one piece of art in any of the following categories: acrylic, craft, computer imagery, drawing, mixed media, oil, pastel, photography, print, sculpture, and water-color. One winner in each category will move on to the state show at Meadow Lakes in October. There must be three entries per category before judging can take place.
