Assistant Director of Dining Services

Responsible/Accountable for day to day operation of the Monroe Village Main & Café Kitchens including but not limited to food purchasing, menu maintenance, adherence to recipes, MV and Springpoint Senior Living policies, procedures and budgets, sanitation and State, Federal and local regulatory requirements;  supervision including hiring, timely completion of performance appraisals, timely disciplinary actions, in-service education of Kitchen Staff kitchen, benchmark performance in resident and employee satisfaction.  Acts as Department Director in absence of Director.

Work Hours: Varies but includes weekends, evenings and holidays.

Requirements: 

Education - College Degree

Experience - Required minimum of five years proven Kitchen management experience-success in large setting; Preferred culinary institute grad or equivalent.

Other - Excellent communication and proven leadership ability, fair, balanced and able to work in a diverse cultural setting, excellent organizational skills, ability to train and discipline employees to follow policies, procedures, recipes et al.

Work Environment: Main Kitchen and environs, Healthcare Pantry and environs, Village Café and environs within a CCRC (283 independent living apartments, 28 Assisted Living apartments, and 60 long-term (Healthcare) beds in one building on approximately 57 acres.
